Generating Knowledge & Expertise

The NCTN partners with adult education, workforce, and community organizations and college systems from across the country to incubate and pilot innovations in policy, provide technical assistance, and promote professional development.

Access to Opportunity

Provided direct exposure for adult GED, ESOL, and college transition learners in postsecondary education and training by direct exposure through college events and continued guidance by mentors.

National Career Awareness Project

Strengthened the capacity of the sixteen participating states to prepare adults for college and career pathways. Program staff developed instructional and counseling skills, and state team leaders saw best practices in action to help plan statewide dissemination and scale-up.

Navigator and Coach Capacity Building

Recognized nationally as a leader in developing and promoting the role of college and career navigators and career coaches at the center of programs that foster student persistence and success. Our trainings support the statewide scale-up of career pathways and integrated education and training initiatives.

Student Mentoring

Fostered skills through mentorship training and NCTN tools via the Adult College Engagement (ACE) and the Migrant Youth Education projects. Mentees are supported through the critical periods when new college students are the most likely to drop out.
