Come "Experience The Power of Life Long Learning" at Wallingford Adult And Continuing Education. We provide a variety of programs and services for students of all backgrounds. Some of our offerings: High School Diploma Programs, Adult Basic Education classes, English As A Second Language, Citizenship classes, General Interest Courses, Computer Courses and Medical Career Training Programs. In addition, we provide students with free Guidance, Career and Personal Counseling and child care during classes.

Our "Next Step Transition to College" Program helps students prepare to enter a college or training program by providing them with comprehensive counseling and academic skills.

Key Components of our 16 week program include:
Free college preparation courses that address the gaps between the GED or adult diploma and college level courses (reading, writing, math, and computer)

  • Study and survival skills
  • Educational counseling and career planning. Financial aid information.
  • Peer mentoring and academic tutoring at the college campus.
  • Partnerships with post-secondary institutions.
  • College tours and visits from representatives
