Dear Student,

I am very happy to have studied in this Transition to College program. It has given me more confidence to go to college, and it has helped me improve my reading, writing, and math skills.

I remember when I first entered the program. I was so afraid because of the big reading book. Afterwards, the teachers taught us all the things we needed to know little by little. I began to learn a lot of stuff from the book. In the writing class, my teacher taught me how to write different kinds of essays. From this class, I learned how to write a formal essay. Now, when I write an essay, my mind is clearer than before. In the math class, I got a lot of practice. It helped me to review many math skills and formulas that I had previously learned. Because of this class, I was able to place in a higher level math class at CCRI.

I also liked this program because the teachers gave us a lot of courage to go to college. For example, counselors from CCRI came to our class to explain many kinds of skills we would need to know before entering college. Now I feel more self-confident to achieve my goals.
