Recruitment and Enrollment

It is very important to have a comprehensive community-based approach to recruitment. A mistake many programs make is to assume that recruiting solely from their own GED/ADP program will yield enough students for an ABE-to-college transition program. This is not usually the case.

Most programs find that they need a four-to-one recruitment-to-enrollment ratio to meet their recruitment goals. These programs use various recruitment strategies to sign up between 40-60 potential students and to enroll between 10-12 students per cycle.
