Intake, Assessment and Orientation

ORIENTATION

This is essential to persistence and attendance in the program. Most programs use this opportunity to outline the student's responsibilities, the attendance policy, the criteria for course completion, the overview of the program, course content, counseling opportunities, and the relationship with the collaborating college(s). Some programs conduct an orientation as part of the intake process; some combine the orientation with the first day/night of classes. See examples of different programs' orientation protocols.
