Relationship with Colleges

ADMISSIONS

The Admissions Department is responsible for accepting, reading, and reviewing applications. It is also responsible for selecting students for the next semester or academic year. Developing a relationship with this department will help you better understand the criteria for admission.

Many colleges, particularly community colleges, review applications as soon as they are completed and admit students for the upcoming semester. That may be the fall, winter, spring or, sometimes, the summer semester. Colleges also have day and evening divisions depending on the time of day a student plans to attend. It's important to point out these differences to students.
