This section highlights electronic and print resources on funding.
Coordinated Funding Streams http://naepdc.org/publications/CFS7-03.pdf
“Because adult education complements other social and economic programs, it only makes sense that a portion of your adult education services can be integrated with those programs. One way to accomplish that integration is to coordinate two funding streams…” (p. 5).
Demystify the interagency agreement process! Coordinated Funding Streams is produced by the National Adult Education Professional Development Consortium (NAEPDC) and although this publication is directed at state-level ABE staff, it is helpful reading across the field. The guide has two parts – “the main body lays out the steps and strategies” and the appendix contains partner information including their target population, enabling legislation, mission, performance standards, etc.
The Foundation Center
http://fdncenter.org/
Founded in 1956, the Center is a national organization that provides an array of information and services for grantseekers, grantmakers, researchers, policy makers, and the public. The Web site has both free and for-a-fee resources. One page of free information is their list of directories of state and local foundations. The Center can also connect you with "cooperating collections" or centers in your state that provide services for grantseekers.
