College Survival Skills

This College Survival Skills class is offered in a workshop format. In interactive, problem-solving sessions, students learn how the college degree system works, goal setting, time management, stress management, listening and note-taking skills, and test-taking strategies.

The practitioner side contains links to articles to better understand adult learning and research.

This is developed in conjunction with the American Council on Education is geared towards adult learners who want to go to college. It walks the student through each step necessary to prepare such as choosing the right program, getting credit for prior learning, and the myths and realities about going to college.
