College Academic Skills

College Academic Skills can be taught in several ways. In this model, class time is dedicated to the development of reading, writing, and pre-algebra skills necessary for success at the college level. A variety of teaching and learning methods are employed to produce the specific skills colleges expect of first-year students. Assessment in these areas should be conducted on an ongoing basis.

Suggested Timeframe: 60 hours, 10 weeks of instruction
