About Us

The National College Transition Network (NCTN) at World Education, Inc. supports adult education staff, programs, and states, and regional and municipal agencies in establishing and strengthening college transition services. We accomplish this through technical assistance, professional development, collegial sharing, advocacy, and publications that focus on the needs of the field. We connect policy and research and practice to help build the capacity and expertise in adult education.

Tools and Resources

As a membership organization, NCTN is committed to providing tools and resources that focus on the needs of our members and the field. Our products include:

The National Conference on Effective Transitions in Adult Education brings together high quality professional development by presenters from around the country.

Online courses prepare practitioners and administrators to create and strengthen college transitions services.

The College for Adults student website (www.collegeforadults.org) helps nontraditional learners plan for college.

Mapping Your Financial Journey: Helping Adults Plan for College booklet provides basic financial planning information and skill building exercises for adults intending to go to college.

The College Transition Toolkit guides educators and administrators through the process of planning and implementing college transition programs.

Integrating Career Awareness into the ABE and ESOL Classroom curriculum helps practitioners equip learners with career planning skills.

Policy Forum webinars advance the sharing and formulation of policies that support nontraditional students’ ability to access and succeed in postsecondary education.
