Call for Contributions

The National College Transition Network is pleased to issue this call for contributions to a toolkit of promising practices that foster adult learners’ aspirations along their education and career pathway. We seek descriptions of effective counseling and instruction practices, lessons, activities that adult basic education practitioners use with learners at various class types (e.g. ESOL or GED) and skill levels to foster their aspirations, goals, and consideration or planning for next steps. 

Please consider contributing practices that:  

  • are intended to raise learner aspirations and can be applied to other classes
  • address one or more areas of college and career readiness
  • have been implemented more than once or by more than one staff in program indicating that it has been adopted or has the potential to be adopted as standard practice
  • can be cited and credited with permission (e.g. author, supplementary materials and worksheets)

Contributions Form

We consider contributions on a rolling basis. After we review your contribution, we will contact you for additional information. In some cases, we may propose taped audio or video interviews with staff and/or students to learn more about the practice and to include multiple media in the toolkit format.
